An IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is an 11-character alphanumeric code that uniquely identifies a specific bank branch participating in India's electronic payment systems — NEFT, RTGS and IMPS. The first four characters identify the bank, the fifth is always zero (reserved for future use), and the last six identify the individual branch.
